The Gauteng Economic Development Agency (GEDA) is the province's official one-stop center entrusted with promoting investment and trade in Gauteng, the "Smart" province in South Africa.

To implement and promote the economic growth and development policy of the Gauteng Provincial Government in the areas of economic production, investment and trade.

To constantly facilitate 1.5 Billion Rand of sustainable new investment in Gauteng Every Year.
GEDA is an autonomous organization, which has representatives of provincial government and the private sector on its board. Its chairman is the MEC for Finance and Economic Affairs. The provincial government largely funds GEDA. A professional team under a Chief Executive Officer runs it.
